 Everest Trek Mini

Everest Trek Mini

Everest Trek - Mini

7 Days into the very heart of the Mighty Himalayas

Mt. Everest is the number one goal of almost every visitor to Nepal. But a full trek into the region can often take more time than most visitors may have. The Everest Trek Mini is the ideal trek that takes you into the very heart of Sherpa Country while experiencing the awesome views of Mt. Everest.

This trip encompasses just 11 days, with two of them affording you the opportunity to visit and explore the ancient city of Kathmandu. The trek actually begins on the third day of your trip as you fly into the exciting airport of Lukla and then take a short walk to Phakding where you pass through beautiful rhododendron forests and alongside of fast flowing mountain streams, fed by the glaciers of the region.

The next day is arrival at the cultural and administrative capital of the Sherpa people, the village of Namche Bazar. This village has grown from a sleepy little village to one which offers good restaurants and wonderful accommodations. Here you rest and adjust to the higher elevation before moving on to Tengboche with its impressive monastery. All along the way are great views of not only of Mt. Everest, but also other incredible snowcapped peaks like Ama Dablam and Lhotse.

The journey returns to Namche Bazar and Lukla before flying back to Kathmandu. Because of weather conditions are often unpredictable at the Lukla Airport, we build in an extra day in case of bad weather. If weather cooperates, then we fly back for another exciting day exploring Kathmandu.

The Everest Trek Mini is not difficult and is ideal for travelers on a limited time schedule who are in moderately good physical condition. The best time of year to do the Everest Trek Mini is from March to May as well as from October to December when skies are clear and temperatures pleasant. You can take this trek in the winter months, but the nights do drop to below freezing with pleasant daytime highs.

Nepal Tibet Tours and Treks is proud to be able to offer you this wonderful tour that will bring you to an excellent viewpoint of Mt. Everest and the surrounding snowcapped peaks of the Himalayas. The Everest Trek Mini will bring you to the very center of the Khumbu region where you will be immersed into the incredible culture of the Sherpa people of the Himalayas who will welcome you to their villages.

Be sure to talk to you representative at Nepal Tibet Tours and Treks about this and other treks in Nepal, Tibet and beyond. They can help you to choose the right trek that matches your budget and time schedule. Call or e-mail today to make your reservations for the Everest Trek Mini.
