Kathmandu Ranked World 19th Best Tourism Destination

Nepal's capital Kathmandu has been listed as the world's best tourist destinations. On the list prepared by the famous travel online  portal TripAdvisor, out of  25 best destinations Kathmandu is at 19th position.

Based on a review of tourists travelling around the world, TripAdvisor published the list of excellent destinations. Millions of the tourists have stated kathmandu the world's best destinations and have even recommended to visit as well.

Historically, religiously, culturally, rich Kathmandu has been able to win the hearts of millions of tourists.

Last Friday, on the program of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter's program,  Finance Minister of Nepal Mr. Ram Sharan Mahat claimed Kathmandu to be the capital city of South Asia in the context of Tourism. But the list of TripAdvisor confirmed Kathmandu to be the world's touristic center not only of South Asia.

Tourists portrayed Kathmandu as a beautiful valley with historical landmarks, the old monasteries, temples, arts and cultural heritage.
Kathmandu is also culturally rich city in the world. In addition, Kathmandu is also known as the city of temples.

TripAdvisor mentioned sightseeing of World Heritage Sites, hiking in the nearby local market and sunset and sunrise seen from the nearby hills of Kathmandu are the main attractions of this city.

Hiking around Swayambhunath , Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar, including the World Heritage Site of Basantapur is described as the most interesting things to be done in Kathmandu.

TripAdvisor praised the handicraft and pottery of kathmandu as well. Handicraft in Kathmandu is regarded as the world's superior one. Even the weather is very suitable for tourists, weather like this (neither cold nor hot) is very rear in the other cities of the world.

TripAdvisor stated that one can enjoy the Trekking , sightseeing, canyoning, rock climbing, mountain flight, paragliding and other activities, in the surrounding areas of Kathmandu. Kathmandu is also the gateway to the rest of Nepal.
