Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m.)

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu Airport, you will be geet and meet by our representative and transfer to hotel. Check in to the Hotel, You will have short briefing of Nepal Tibet Everest Base Camp Overland Tour, fill up Tibet Visa form. Evening walk to the Nepali Restaurant for welcome by Typical Nepal Dinner with live performances of culture programs. Overnight Hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour (Swayambhunath/Patan/ Kathmandu Durbar square)

After Breakfast, your day starts by guided sightseeing tour by our expet english speaking Tour guide to Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). Soon after, you will be headed towards one of the beautiful city of Kathmandu valley, Patan, rich in its prehistoric culture and tradition, especially the very famous Durbar Square, After our lunch, you will visit beautiful Kathmandu Durbar Square. All places are historic and enlisted in the UNESCO’s world heritage list. Overnight Hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour – Nagarkot (2915m.)

After Breakfast, we offer you a sightseeing tour to Pashupatinath temple, famous Hindu shrine in Nepal with different varieties of Temple, cremation of dead body on the bank of Bagmati River, devotees and so on. Then you will continue the tour of Bouddhanath Stupa, abiggest buddhist Stupa to visit the remaining spots missed on the earlier day study numerous striking and fascinating arts and architecture and cultural and historic phenomena. Subsequently, you will move to Bhaktapur City which is 14 km east of Kathmandu. Bhaktapur, the city of devotees is a center of intriguing masks and potters. The major attractions are: Nyatapola, Durbar Square with 55 windows palace, Dattatreya Temple, Bhairavnath Temple, etc. Later in the evening, you will drive to Nagarkot and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Nagarkot – Kathmandu (1350m.)

Early morning, you start the day with a beautiful sunrise view including the panorama of Great Mt. Everest. After your breakfast, you gradually drive down to Kathmandu. Today you have a free afternoon, therefore you can either go for shopping or explore around the city. The night will be spent at the hotel.

Day 5: Kathmandu - Lhasa (3660m)

After your breakfast, transfer to Airport for your secnic flight to Lhasa. This is the most thrilling day of your Nepal Tiber Tour as you fly over the stunning Mountains. After One an half hour flight you will be reaching at Gongar Airport. Our Tibetan guide will welcome you and drive to your Hotel. Overnight Hotel in Lhasa.

Day 6: Lhasa

Today's Tour start from Jokhang Temple after your breakfast. Jokhang Temple is one of the most famous Temples in Tibet that grasp many astonishing history. After some sightseeing of the great Jokhang Temple, you leave for Barkhor Street and Drepung Monastery. Tonight, you will be staying overnight in a Hotel thinking about the beautiful places you visited.

Day 7: Lhasa

The Nepal Tibet Overland Tour will be an incomplete one if you doesn’t visit and experience the vital Potala Palace which is Lhasa’s prime landmark and is also a wonder of Eastern architecture. Potala Palace was once home to Dalai Lama and it has been there since the fifth or sixth century. After you will also be visiting the great Sera Monastery . Overnight at Hotel.

Day 8: Lhasa - Gyantse (3950m.) - Shigatse (3900m.)

The distance from Lhasa to Gyantse is approximately 260 kilometers (162 miles). The journey between these two cities is a popular route for tourists visiting Tibet, as it offers a glimpse into the region's unique culture and stunning natural beauty. As it takes you through some of the most breathtaking landscapes and cultural sites in the region such as Yamdrok Lake, Karola Glacier, visiting Gyantse Kumbum and Pelkor Chode Monastery, Gyantse Dzong etc.. Similarly travelling from Gyantse to Shigatse is approximately 90 kilometers (56 miles). Along the way, there are several points of interest that you may want to stop and visit, including Tashilhunpo Monastery. Overall, the journey from Gyantse to Shigatse is another scenic and cultural experience that offers a glimpse into Tibet's rich history and traditions. Overnight Hotel.

Day 9: Shigatse - Shegar (4300m.)

Travelling from Shigatse to Shegar (also known as New Tingri) in Tibet is a popular route for tourists who want to explore the region and visit Mount Everest Base Camp. The journey covers a distance of approximately 250 kilometers (155 miles), and takes around 5-6 hours by road. The route follows the Friendship Highway, which is a scenic road that connects Tibet to Nepal. Along the way, you will pass through small villages and towns, and cross several high mountain passes, including the Gyatso La Pass, which is one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Day 10: Shegar - Rongbuk - Everest Base Camp - Rongbuk (5000m.)

Today is the very important day of your Nepal Tibet Everest Base Camp overland Tour. After Breakfast journey start from Shegar (New Tingri) to Rongbuk in Tibet is a popular route for tourists who want to visit Mount Everest Base Camp and see the stunning Himalayan mountain range up close. The journey covers a distance of approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles), and takes around 2-3 hours by road. The route follows a scenic road that passes through small villages and Tibetan highlands, with stunning views of the Himalayas throughout the journey. Along the way, you will pass through several high mountain passes, including the Pang La Pass, which offers stunning panoramic views of the Himalayas. Rongbuk Monastery is located near Mount Everest Base Camp in Tibet.The main Everest Base Camp (EBC) on the north side of Mount Everest is located about 8 kilometers (5miles) south of Rongbuk Monastery. The road to EBC from Rongbuk is a rough dirt track that can only be accessed by foot or by four-wheel drive vehicles. It usually takes about 1-2 hours to hike or 30 minutes by vehicle from Rongbuk to EBC, depending on the road conditions and your mode of transportation. You will spending a night at Rongbuk Monastery or guest house as per available.

Day 11: Rongbuk (5000m.) - Kerong (2450m.)

The journey from Rongbuk to Kerung (also known as Kyirong) in Tibet covers a distance of approximately 190 kilometers (118 miles) and takes around 6-7 hours by road, depending on the road conditions and your mode of transportation.The route follows the Friendship Highway, which is a scenic road that connects Tibet to Nepal. It passes through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Tibet, with stunning views of the Himalayas and the Tibetan plateau. Today is the last night with your Tibetan Guide and Driver. Overnight Hotel.

Day 12: Kerung (2450m) - Kathmandu (1400m)123km

Today is the final day of your Nepal Tibet Everest Base Camp Overland tour. After breakfast start a drive from Kerung to Kathmandu. After you reach Kerung, you will meet up with our Nepali representative who will assist you for immigration formalities to exit Tibet. Driving back to Kathmandu takes about 7-8hrs. overnight Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 13: Kathmandu

Free day on your own, shpping, taking rest as a relaxing day after your adventure trip of Tibet overland Tour. O/n Hotel.

Day 14: Departure

Desolately, this is the end of your Nepal Tibet Overland Tour and you will be transfer to Airport for your final departure.

Clothing and Equipments

Certain basic trekking equipment is essential on all routes we described in this site. Depending on the area and season, we will provide you with a comprehensive list of necessities. Here is some recommended Equipments List for trekking in Nepal.

Clothing

1. Boots

Lightweight walking boots. If new one is being bought, “walk then in” to avoid blisters. Also bring spare laces.

2. Track shoes

A pair of track shoes. To wear in the camp at night or when the boot is wet.

3. Jacket

Warm jacket. Fiber fills or down should be adequate. This is especially necessary during winter from December to February. A rainproof jacket with hood or a poncho. Get the one that is guaranteed waterproof.

4. Shirt and Sweaters

Woolen shirts and thick sweaters. During winter months, December through February these items are essential. Thick sweaters can be purchased in Kathmandu. 1 lightweight long sleeved -shirt is particularly suitable for avoiding sun burn.

5. Trousers

A pair of lightweight/ heavy weight trousers. Jeans are unsuitable to wear on treks. Cheap loose cotton pants are available in Kathmandu. Heavyweight trousers are useful higher up in the mountains in the morning and at night. Windproof/ waterproof trousers are necessary on all treks going above 10.00ft.

6. Underwear

Thermal underwear. These are excellent to sleep in at night in the winter months thermal underwear are quite invaluable.

7. Tracksuit

A tracksuit useful for wearing in camp and in the tent. 2 pair of loose fitting long shorts/ skirts.

8. Sleeping Bag

As you do not carry it yourself this may be synthetic or down, but it must be 4 season. As most treks pass through a variety of climatic conditions, a long zip is a good idea. A cotton/fleece liner helps keep your sleeping bag clean. Good sleeping bags are expensive but can be rented easily in Kathmandu (Only for treks starting and finishing there)

9. Sun Hat, SunCream/Block & Lip Salve

Choose a high factor suncream (Factor 20 or stronger) to protect your skin against the sun at high altitude. A combination sunblock/lip salve is ideal for facial protection.

10. Personal First Aid Kit

You should have your own supply of plasters, aspirin, diarrhea tablets and also a comprehensive blister kit. (Please do not give medicines to local people without consulting the trek leader.)

11. Hat/ Glove/ Sandle/ Shocks/ Underwear

a) A woolen hat to wear in the morning and at night. During winter it is an essential item.
b) A sunhat and ensure it has a wide brim to cover the face and neck.
b) A pair of gloves. Leather with lining and woolen are best. c) 1 pair of sandals to wear in the cities and in camp.
d) 4 pairs of thin and 4 pair of thick woolen socks.
e) Underwear” normal quantity and swimming costume, hankies.

Equipments and Accessories

a) Duffle bag or kit bag to carry to gear while trekking
b) Daypack: This is a small rucksack to carry personal requirement for the day e.g. toilet items, camera, film towel, soap, a boot etc.
c) Water bottle.
d) Snow glasses and sunglasses
e) 2-4 large plastic bags to separate clean clothes from dirty ones.
f) 6 -10 smaller plastic bags to dispose garbage.
g) Wallet and /or money belt with compartment for coins.
h) Toiletries with large and small towels. Toilet paper can buy in Kathmandu and some villages in the mountains.
i) Small headlamp and/ or torch with spare batteries and bulbs
j) candles and lighter to burn toilet paper.
k) Snow gaiters essential during wither and all treks going over at other times.
l) An umbrella (optional), which is quite useful to as a sunshade and useful when it rains.
m) Reading materials, camera and film, game items (optional), note book, rubber band, pen and pencil, envelopes, a diary, a calendar, a pocket knife, binoculars (optional), a small pillow or headrest (optional).
